Research Interests

My main scientific interests are in the field of numerical modeling of reactive flows with detailed kinetics, with special emphasis on the use of energy carriers especially hydrogen carriers (e.g. ammonia, dimethyl-ether and methanol). During my research activity, I have focused on developing skills and expertise on building kinetic mechanism able to describe mixtures of hydrogen carriers.

  • I am currently working on the development of the already cited mixtures of hydrogen carriers. Actually, the mixtures of ammonia and dimethyl-ether and also ammonia-methanol interactions are the focus.
  • I am also interested in the use of these mixtures in practical application. The of application is internal combustion engines (ICEs). For this objective, I’m collaborating with the ICE group in applying the kinetic mechanisms I have developed.
