Research Interests
My primary scientific interest is in the field of developing chemical kinetic models for the pyrolysis and gasification of biomass, guided and validated by laboratory-scale data and literature. My research mainly focuses on the catalytic effects of inorganic compounds on biomass pyrolysis, such as alkali and alkaline earth metals.
- I am currently working on OpenSMOKE++, a general framework for chemical kinetics simulation, such as chemical equilibrium and batch reactor. I try to extend the kinetic model for biomass, considering the effects of inorganic compounds.
- I am also interested in Python programming and try to couple Python scripts with OpenSMOKE++ to optimise the rate constants of the chemical mechanisms.
